Steps to Faster Indexing

We all know the importance of having great content but generating the content is really only the first step and until you can get these new pages into the SERPS you probably won’t see much traffic to them. So once you have added your new pages the next to is to get them indexed, though this probably won’t guarantee instant traffic to your new pages to be that it will give Google and the other search engines a chance to index them and decide where they should be placed in their index for your target keywords, you will also probably find that these new pages will around in the search results quite a lot in the beginning so it’s important to get these pages indexed as fast as possible so the search engines can make the final decision as to where your content should be positioned in the SERPS , once your new pages have settled down in the SERPS you will at least then have a better idea of the amount of work involved to improve your rankings. In truth getting your pages indexed is only a small step in the overall goal of making your new pages profitable but the faster you can get them indexed the sooner you start making some money from them.

Different bloggers use different indexing techniques to get their blogs indexed.  Below are some quick methods that can help you save time and start making your new pages profitable.

Sites that are built on blogging platforms like WordPress are usually pretty easy to get indexed as most have the ability to ping the search engines as soon as a new pages added, this technique has been around the longest and continues to work well and even if you don’t use WordPress or blogger you can still get a new page indexed by pinging it through pingomaticcom. Pinging the same pages of your site’s to many times can get you banned from some of the ping engines, editing or updating existing pages on your site can send pings to these engines without you ever knowing, which can cause your site to be blacklisted, to solve this use one of the many plug-ins available, these plug-ins allow much more customization and the ability to only pain whenever you want them too.

Submitting your new page to any of the social bookmarking or Web 2.0 sites is another way to get your new pages indexed quickly, this option works because the spiders index and crawl these sites on a regular basis and when your link shows up on these sites there is good chance the spiders will follow it and index your pages, though many of these sites are no follows in likelihood the spider will still following the link just not pass any juice through it.

If you are lucky enough to have a site that the search engines like and as a result index frequently then having a link to your new pages on your home page may be all that you need to get those pages indexed, admittedly most of those probably don’t have this luxury with any of our sites, but just because your home page may not have been cached for the last week or so doesn’t necessarily that the spiders aren’t hitting your site and Google generally discounts any visits from spiders in your daily reports so to really find out how often the spiders are hitting your site then you need to dive into your log files, these figures don’t lie and count pretty much every visits and action taken on your sites. Doing this give a much clearer indication of how often your site is crawled by the spiders.

The Last method is probably one of the most overlooked and I will let you make your own decision as to whether or not it is worth trying.
Remember when people say that they often overlook things that are right in front of their faces, well maybe the same could be said here. Why not submit your page directly to Google you may be just a little surprised at how quickly it can be indexed.

The World Wide Web has created a revolution in the way that people interact with each other for personal as well as professional purposes. There is no dearth of social networking websites; however, Linked In is clearly the market leader in the arena of professional networking websites. In seven years of its existence, it has grown to a massive user base of ninety million individuals.

The primary purpose of Linked In is to have on online version of a professional resume, along with references and recommendations provided by colleagues. This online resume acts as a showcase of an individual’s professional experience –education, positions held, nature of tasks completed, accomplishments, professional growth achieved etc.

However, there is a crucial difference between a Linked In profile and a resume posted on a job website. Whereas the primary purpose of a job website is to match an individual seeking a job to potential employers, Linked In profile is equally worthy to professionals not actively interested in job switch. Rather, it is a living document of one’s professional experiences and achievements.

Linked In also offers opportunities to discuss topics and challenges related to an individual’s sphere of work through its online discussion groups. Each group brings together professionals with interest and prior experience in a field of work who can provide valuable insights to individuals in the same profession across the world.

Therefore, Linked In allows individuals to get insightful answers/thoughts regarding pertinent questions regarding their profession. It also allows individuals to get in touch with other professionals who have participated in a discussion for follow-up conversation by adding them to one’s professional network.

Employers worldwide have started using Linked In for two purposes – recruitment and background checks. Many companies, including Fortune 500 companies, are posting their job requisitions on Linked In to tap the massive user bases of experienced professionals who actively use Linked In. At the same time, most companies also use Linked In to do preliminary screening of job candidates in the initial stage of background check. By viewing the candidate’s Linked In profile, recruiters are able to analyze the job fit and character of candidates. In this regard, recommendations provided by senior colleagues is specifically helpful to establish the veracity of information provided by the candidate on the resume submitted to the company.

Using Linked In is easy with its intuitive interface and repository of frequently asked questions about the website’s features. To help and individual expand his professional network, Linked In allows users to sync their contacts from other email and networking websites. The “People You May Know” feature suggests individuals that are in the expanded network – connections of an individual’s professional contacts.

Social Bookmarking Service

Our social bookmarking service is a little different from other services out there. Our service isn’t different just to be different… it’s different to be better. The MAJOR difference between our service and others is that we take social bookmarking to the next level by going the extra mile. We do more than just bookmark your pages. Instead of just creating hundreds of social bookmarks, we create less bookmarks and get more out of each link created by boosting each link through our process of pinging, meta indexing, and RSS syndication. We do more to get more indexed links. Other services simply create social bookmarks and they never get indexed so they never do any good for your site.

Here’s what our process includes:

By the end of the process we can take 1 page you give us and create approximately 100 links to that page which are much more likely to get indexed by Google and other major search engines than regular social bookmarking services.

The price for our service is $25 for each URL you give us to create social bookmarking links to and run through our process.

Send your social bookmarking order to us here or contact us to ask any questions you may have.

Flash Web Design – Flash Integration in HTML Pages

One thing a lot of designers wonder about is Flash, and with good reason. There’s a lot of debate about Flash and what it means to your site and also search rankings. People often fear they are sacrificing SEO advantages in place of aesthetic advantages.

What’s the best route and where’s the right balance if Flash and static content? Well, some sites often insist on using full Flash sites with the pages consisting of no HTML and only Flash. This would be even worse off a short time ago.

Why?

Well, it seems that search engines like Google are actually getting better at reading Flash content and knowing what kind of content Flash .SWF files are made up of.  That’s right, coming straight from the source, Google is improving the indexing of Flash.

“Q: Which Flash files can Google better index now?
We’ve improved our ability to index textual content in SWF files of all kinds. This includes Flash “gadgets” such as buttons or menus, self-contained Flash websites, and everything in between.”

This means that you can choose more freely what content of your site you want to be Flash and what will remain regular HTML. Does this mean I’m going to have a complete all Flash site… probably not. I prefer the strategy of integrating Flash components seamlessly into the website. I do this with custom animation and menus that I create. I don’t like to use pre-made templates of things like Flash slide shows  that you can find on the internet. This sets my site apart from any others using these generic pre-made templates that you will probably find on thousands of other sites.

Some common things I like to use Flash for:

So, all in all, I love Flash. I use it all the time, but I don’t recommend a complete Flash site and if you must create a site using all Flash, provide a HTML alternative at the bottom of the page. This is still good for search engines, and not to mention people with slower internet connections that can’t handle your Flash intensive website.

Hope this helps!

Facebook

Create a page for your business and invite all your friends to it. Tell as many people as possible and tell them to invite as many as they can. This forms a chain reaction as people continue to invite other people they know.

Twitter

Yes, Twitter can be useful in promoting your product or service. There are even websites and software that will help automate the posting process and schedule posts to be made. First, create a twitter account and search for a topic related to what you offer. Click on a user who offers something related to you and click on their followers. Begin following everyone.
